We enjoyed our overnight stay here; check in was quick, and the paved road to our concrete pad which was level and adequate in size. Hookups are in the corner of the road and pad; if you have a tow you'll need all a long water hose and sewer extensions to reach the hookups and be forward enough to for the tow to clear the road. There is no cable and the WiFi didn't work during our stay, but Verizon cell and AirCard worked well. A park-like setting, with nice landscaping and quiet and dark at night. Probably a nice destination in the summer, although the area doesn't seem to offer much. We'd stay here again while passing through.

Oregon has one of the best park systems in the country, and Harris beach is a great example of how a state park should operate. We reserved a site ($8 Reserve America fee) since much of the park is closed down during the winter, but were able to trade on arrival for a larger first-come site with high on the bluff with an ocean view. We had an incredible view of the water and sea stacks, and fell asleep at night to the sound of the pounding waves. A large volunteer force keeps the place looking like Disneyland, and all of the facilities are immaculate. One of the few parks with Wi-Fi (pay) and excellent cable TV (included in site fee). Verizon Cell and air card signal were very strong. Although the best sites with views are 30A and without sewer, this is a real bargain at the winter rate. We'll stay here again.

This is a hidden gem - your $25 gets you a large, level cement pad, great hookups, cable TV, excellent Wi-Fi, and a shady, quiet location. Don't let the drive through the used car lot fool you; this is a quality park. Some train noise at night but not bad. We'd stay here again.

The price reflects the weekly rate and player discount. This is a great place to stay if visiting the area or stopping overnight. Sites and roads are paved, and although crowned to allow water runoff, fairly level. Hookups are convenient and a small strip with plants separates each site. There are no picnic tables or fires allowed. Verizon cell and AirCard were strong; however, the free Wi-Fi, as is too often typical, did not work at our site. The free cable TV was excellent in quality and number of channels. Road noise is minimal, and the casino has is a short walk (or shuttle bus ride), and has reasonable restaurants. The park fee includes use of the hotel pool, spa, and exercise room. Friendly staff in the office, good facilities, and good location make this a great value. We'd stay here again.

This park turned out to be a good value - $25 at the kisosk, then on to your choice of large pull-through sites. Ours was level, had good hookups, and was nicely landscaped. Not a destination park, since there's nothing for children, no tables or grills, and the walk to the restrooms (at the truck stop) is not something you want to do in the middle of the night. It is far enough from the trucks for a quiet night. Verizon cell and AirCard worked well, and the park now has free WiFi which was very strong. Don't count on the shuttle to the casino, each time we tried they were "busy". We'd stay here again.

We pulled in to this location due to bad weather and a review that didn't sound too bad; however, just the appearance of the motel should have been a clue that this was not going to be a quality experience. For $29 you get a tight pull through between antique 30 amp power pedestals, with your tow in a grass/dirt lot and most of the coach hanging into the parking lot. Only the cable TV kept the rating lower. Seedy looking permanent units, noise from the highway, and big rigs using the space behind all night contributed to a restless night. A good $12 stop, but for $29 it's a ripoff. We'll drive through the area in a blizzard next time rather than stop here.

An easy to find, nicely located park just off Highway 101 on the North side of Lincoln City. All paved roads and sites, terraced on a hill overlooking the lake. While our site was a long end of row pull-through (60') with lots of room, it was not level and required a good deal of raising/blocking on one side. Great cable TV, and the free Wi-Fi generally worked well. Good Verizon cell and air card service. No permanent residents that we could see, only host sites and travelers. Nicely landscaped, clean, and quiet and dark at night. Hookups were all very good; it's nice to be in an area where the water quality is very good. We'll stay here again if in the area.

The price reflects the weekly rate during the winter season. An exceptional value and still one of the best parks on the coast. We had a harbor site that allowed us to pull in and have a great view of harbor seals and waterfowl. Sites are paved and level, with picnic table and parking area. Free cable was extensive and clear; however, the free Wi-Fi did not work the entire week. Verizon cell and Air Card worked very well. The park does not allow ATVs to be run within the park limits, a plus in this area where many people come to play on the dunes. Within walking distance of the few shops and restaurants open this time of year. Quiet and mostly empty this time of year, but still a beautiful, well-cared for facility. We'll stay here again.

We spent a disappointing week here. This is one of those parks that will be highly rated by smaller units, and for those of us with large motorhomes, be appropriately poorly rated. On one hand, it is nicely landscaped, with flowers, bird feeders, and ponds, and the staff is very friendly. On the other, the sites are too small for motorhomes with slides, not all are 50A, and the 30A voltage is marginal. It's not possible to get into and out of many sites with a tow attached since backing up will be necessary to get in between the trees and into the terraced sites. The park is heavily treed making satellite reception spotty, and there is no cable TV and little broadcast. There are many permanent residents, and while their sites are neat and segregated from the travelers, they drive through the traveler's area each morning, starting at 5:00 AM. If you have a small unit and only require 30A power, this may suit you fine; for us, we'll pass if in the area again. Curiously, it is less expensive to stay day by day than the weekly rate.

This is one of those parks that you hope to find at each destination; well run, well designed, and reasonable in price. It's located close to the marina (not quite close enough to walk), the sites are back-in,s but if not crowded, pulling through from the site in back is allowed. Sites are level gravel, adequately sized, with a table and fire ring. Free limited (22-channel) cable TV is provided. The park was quiet and dark at night, and road noise is minimal. Verizon cell and Aircard were marginal but worked, and the free park Wi-Fi was not working except for one day of our 9-day stay. Lots of workcampers keep things running smoothly, and the owner is friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in an interesting small coastal town. We'd stay here again.

We spent a week at this great little park with it's pull-in sites on the golf course. Convenient to Astoria and other Columbia River attractions, the large, level gravel sites and manicured green grass provided plenty of room in this quiet location. Free W-iFi is provided and works fairly well; Verizon cell and Air Card service was very good. No facilities other than a great site and view which is fine with us; but not a family campground. The friendly folks that checked us in provided us with an armload of maps and guidebooks. A place we'll return to.

This is an interesting setting; outside of town, down a narrow, twisting 8% or more grade, to sites surrounding the golf course parking lot. Sites 1 through 3 are long (we were in site 1) but highly sloped and even with a multitude of blocks, it was impossible to level the coach. Sites are adequate in space with green grass; hookups are spaced between each site so odd sites will need a long water hose. Verizon AirCard and cell phone signals were strong. Free cable TV is provided and there is ample clearance for a satellite dish. It was quiet at night, but during the day there was a fair amount of traffic, and on the weekends quite a bit. We were treated to drunken karaoke singing at blasting volume after a weekend tournament, but fortunately they tired out shortly after 9:00 PM. Be careful on the entrance road; golf carts and construction vehicles make the trip a bit sporty. It's a beautiful setting but next time we'll probably try another park if in the area.

This is a nice campground with enormous potential. The new owners are working to improve the infrastructure, but some areas, such as the dirt roads that turn to ruts and mud when it rains, need immediate improvement. Pull through sites are long, but with side-by-side hookups you're touching awnings with your neighbor. The water pressure is also sporadic depending on the number of people in the park. On the plus side, the park has many large trees (no cable - we had to use a portable dish to find a hole), is fairly quiet, and is convenient to town. The free WiFi was very strong and the Verizon cell and AirCard service also worked well. The owners and staff are friendly and eager to please; we're confident they'll make the necessary improvements and will stay here again if in the area.

Finally, a KOA that is reasonably priced and delivers on its promises. Friendly owner, golf cart escort, and large, level gravel sites. Good hookups, shade, some grass, and free Wi-Fi that worked. Small but adequate pool and playground. Verizon Cell and Aircard worked well; satellite TV may be a problem due to the large cottonwoods. Not much in Hardin, but a good place to stage a visit to the Little Big Horn Battlefield. Plan on cooking at home, the Hardin dining possibilities are few and unsavory. The nightly campground ice cream social to raise money for charity is a nice touch. We'd stay here again.

This is an exceptional KOA in that you get your money's worth. Large sites with trees and grass, convenience to shopping, and extensive facilities, including an on-site breakfast cafe make this a worthwhile stay. Although close to the main highway, it's quiet and dark at night (once the kids get tucked in) and the landscaping maintenance is noteworthy. The free Wi-Fi worked well, and the cable TV was very good. You can't do better in the Missoula area. We'll stay here again.

This is a nice little campground in the tall pines at the South end of the Bitterroot Valley. Nothing fancy, only one 50A site but otherwise full (30A) hookups, right next to the East Fork of the Bitterrot River. No Verizon cell or AirCard service, and no TV or cable. Finding a hole in the trees for a satellite is also a challenge. There is a nice little store with an excellent cafe for breakfast or lunch Wed-Sun. This is a great spot for a nice quiet evening with the smell of woodsmoke and pines. We'll stay here again.

This is the kind of park we wish we could find in every town; friendly check-in, good sized sites with real grass, and level, gravel sites with an area for the awning and picnic table. The free Wi-Fi worked well, and Verizon cell and AirCard coverage was good. Hookups were good, especially the water which had good pressure and was very soft. Quiet and dark at night, there was little road noise. It is convenient to Ennis, Virginia City, and the Madison River trout fishing access areas. A great stay; we'd stay here again.

This is an amazing park: certainly one of the top ten we've ever visited. We parked on beautiful putting-green quality grass, under huge pines, surrounded by landscaped dividers. Quiet, dark at night, only the sound of an occasional distant train to break the silence. Marginal Verizon cell phone and no AirCard reception, but the park's Wi-Fi worked well. No pool, mini-golf, or frills, just beauty in a place surrounded by mountains. The Passport America rate makes this the best bargain we've ever found. We'll make sure we stay here again.

This is a great Passport America member park for an overnight or longer stay. The park is convenient to the Interstate yet far enough to be fairly quiet at night. The level, gravel pull-through sites are long and wide enough for slides and awning and hookups are convenient. The park has a nice pool, small store, and walking trails through the woods. Verizon AirCard worked well and the park's free WiFi worked well depending on the amount of users. A Flying J is 10 miles west, and the town of Utica is nearby. A nice stop, we'll stay here again.

A large expanse of grass without tree or bush, this campground fills the basic requirement of a place to park but not much else. Big sites, but it didn't matter much over the 4th of July as the place was almost empty. Long walk to office or restrooms, although the dumpsters were convenient. Free WiFi was spotty and Verizon AirCard just barely worked. No cable, no broadcast TV, no pool, no playgrounds, just lots of grass and a place to park. Close to the Amana Colonies, interesting but expensive if you decide to shop. We were interested in seeing the area, but there isn't enough to lure us back to this bare-bones park.

I agree with previous reviewers that this is a nice park with friendly owners. During the week, it's quiet; however, when the weekend comes, it's a noisy, bustling place with kids riding the rent-a-trikes everywhere. Heavily treed, there is no satellite use although the owner has installed dishes throughout the park that you can hook up to. Sites are good sized, but with all of the parked cars it seems crowded. It rained while we were here, and the roads quickly became muddy and we ended up with a lot of dirt spray on our coach. No Wi-Fi, but Verizon and Aircard worked well. Our stay was impacted by one of the workampers having four dogs that barked every time someone walked by. The town of Faribault doesn't have much to offer except a Super WalMart just up the road, and there is road construction everywhere. Check with the park before visiting; during our stay the main exit to town was closed. Overall, an OK place, but a bit overpriced. We'll pass on this park next time.

Rate reflects Passport America discount. This park represents why Passport America membership is a good deal. We had a level, all concrete site with 50amp hookups, grass, shade, and plenty of room. Although near the interstate, it was quiet and dark at night. Lots of pipeline workers and their children, but the pool kept them busy and they weren't a problem. Good free Wi-Fi and cable TV. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a family-themed park best suited for campers with children. For those without, it is overpriced. Playgrounds, a pool, and activities abound, but roads are dusty, sites are highly sloped making leveling difficult, picnic tables are old and warped, and the "free" Wi-Fi doesn't work. Freeway noise is noticeable but not a distraction. The staff runs around on golf carts at high speed creating dust everywhere - we arrived with a clean coach and two days later left with a dirty one. Verizon cell phone and air card worked well. Upon arrival, we were issued wrist bands because "security is a big problem here". We'll pass on this park next time we're in the area.

A very good value park: quiet, dark, and reasonably priced. Sites a little close but long enough to stagger each rig for a bit more room. Friendly hosts. Verizon cell and AirCard worked well. A nice place to spend a day or two while exploring Bismarck. We liked it & will stay here again.

It's hard to criticize a park that only charges $16.50 a night, and aside from the train noise, this is a good overnight stop. Level sites, trees, (some will block satellite reception), good hookups & excellent soft water were all a plus. On check-in, after driving over the railroad tracks right outside the park entrance, my wife asked about train noise and was told "we're on a siding, so it's not a problem at night". Well, the siding sounded like it ran through the site next to ours, and the train's horn was enough to rattle the windows. Verizon cell and AirCard worked well, nice since the park has no wireless. Road noise from the interstate was negligible. An OK park in an area without many options, but bring your earplugs.

It's hard to believe there are campgrounds with full hookups for $10 a night, but this one is not worth half that! Beware. We arrived after a tortuous trip over mud/sand/dirt construction throughout the main street of Herreid, to find a overgrown weed patch with faint traces of RV slots. We pulled in, slowed down to double check our eyes, and pulled out. Unfortunately, Herreid is a horrid little town right now, and this campground is representative of it. We won't slow down next time.

The price reflects the weekly rate. We enjoyed our stay here; quiet, well landscaped, and very friendly owners/managers. There are a variety of sites, from tree shaded to open, all level grass/dirt with solid hookups and a picnic table. The lakes are full of small bluegill and provide a fishing experience for the kids. There's a playground, basketball court, hiking trails through the woods and rec room, along with a small laundry. Verizon Aircard worked well, but the free park WiFi was exceptionally fast and secure. The location was perfect for exploring the Amish communities, South Bend, and the lakefront communities. A very good value; we'll stay here again.

Wow - what a beautifully maintained park and at a Passport America rate! At arrival we were checked in by very professional staff and led to our site. The level, gravel sites have a patio area, table, and manicured grass with some shade. Sites are not huge but are large enough to extend slides and awning without feeling cramped. The free cable TV was excellent, and although the park has no Wi-Fi, Verizon cell and AirCard service was very good. The park is surrounded by hills and forest and is quiet and dark at night. Disneyland could take landscaping lessons from these people - a great stay and we'll definitely visit again.

It is not as bad as I expected based on previous reviews. The grass was mowed, and after being led on a tortuous trip with mud holes and low tree branches, we arrived at our site. It was fairly level gravel and with good hookups, the sites for motor homes and Camp Freightliner attendees are on the edge of the park near the entrance road, separated a bit from the rather seedy resident trailers. We didn't use any of the bath or other facilities and don't think our stay would have been enhanced by doing so The power was steady and kept our air conditioning running in the heat, and the noise from the residents wasn't too bad, so overall our stay here was acceptable. It's the only game in town unless you're having Freightliner service done, and then it's only an electric site at the service center. We can't imagine ever staying here again.

We agree with previous posts - this is a quality park with a reasonable cost considering facilities. The free WiFi actually worked very well, an unusual event since most parks advertise WiFi but seldom deliver. Although a great park, we were in site 8, which is next to a large security light. Along with the bright light, it buzzed loudly all night long, and was a significant irritant. Ask to stay in a site other than 7 or 8. The convenient location of this park (right off the interstate but quiet, with a Flying J next door makes it a location that we'll stay in again.

This is a park that works best for those with a medium or smaller RV, children, and who use the restrooms. For those of us with large motorhomes and who are only passing through, it is at best an average park. A narrow, climbing road leads to a cramped registration area, and we were led to a level gravel site that was steeply terraced and nearly precluded the use of passenger side slides. The free cable TV and Wi-Fi worked well, and Verizon cell and AirCard also were strong. For an overnight stay, there are less expensive and easier to access parks in the area. We'll pass on this park if in the area again.

While the price was a bit high, this KOA is the only quality RV park in an area with few options. Most parks in this part of the country are 30 amp, no sewer, and crowded with seasonal campers. We opted for a back-in site for our 10 day stay, and it was fairly level, grass covered, and tree shaded (we had to use a portable satellite dish). The free WiFi was generally not usable, even though an antenna was close by. TV broadcast reception was spotty, and will probably worsen once the digital changeover is made, and there is no cable TV. The Verizon cell and air card reception was excellent. There are many activities for families on the weekend, and plenty of areas for children, including a swimming "pond". The area has many restaurants and adequate shopping, and access to I-480 and Cleveland attractions is very good. Although they're pricey for those of us without children and who don't use many of the facilities, it's the best park in the area and we'd stay here again.

A nice campground 6 miles from the town of Somerset. Overnight sites are separate from the seasonal sites, and were quiet and dark at night. No trees or shade, old picnic table, and no Wi-Fi were detractors, but the gravel site was level and the hookups worked well. Even though out in the country, the Verizon cell and AirCard worked well. Overall a nice park that should get better as facilities are improved. We'd stay here again.

We made reservations on the state park site; the site location and information stated that the site was 50' long. On arrival (and paying an additional $7 entry fee) we drove through the park and when entering the campground loop were confronted by 180 degree turns with poles and trees close to the road, along with park cars. The site itself was heavily treed and too small for our coach; even if we could fit it would have required pulling into and backing out due to trees on each side and narrow access road. It was not level and was not wide enough to allow slideouts on both sides, let alone an awning. After a tortuous attempt and slow escape from the loop, we requested and received a refund with the comment from the park ranger that "I guess we'll have to measure those sites someday". The park itself is very extensive and beautifully maintained; however it IS NOT easily assessable for a 40' motor home and tow - I would not recommend for anything over 36'. We'll have to pass on this otherwise beautiful park.

We were pleasantly surprised with this immaculate little park during our week-long stay. Level, gravel pull through sites and convenient hookups were separated by a small grass strip. Although our site in the rear of the park was not overly large, we had an end site which gave us plenty of room. The park is nicely landscaped with flowers and small trees, and although it has a number of what appear to be long-term residents, their sites are well maintained. The owners were friendly and were quick to ask how our stay was going. Located near an exit on I-55, it was very convenient to St. Louis attractions and shopping in Edwardsville. The only drawback is the drone of the interstate traffic, but it wasn't enough to keep us awake. The owners do not accept credit cards, requiring check or cash only. There aren't many parks in the area, but even if there was, this park would be worth staying at. We'll definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed visiting this park; it's a reminder of what all of the KOA's used to be - clean, neatly manicured, nice facilities, and family oriented activities. On the other hand, the sites are small, the trees prevent use of a satellite (and there's no cable), most of the sites are 30A only, the roads are gravel and potholed, and the price is exorbitant for an overnight stay. It's a great weekend destination park for families, but at this time of year, the facilities aren't usable and there aren't any activities during the week, so a weekday overnight is overly priced. Casey is a small town with not much to offer and there's not much in the area, but the park is a nice place to just relax and enjoy the birds. This is a nice park, but due to the price we won't stay here again.

The Wright-Pat FamCamp has become the park of choice due to other campgrounds and even the state parks raising their rates over $30 a night. At $110 a week, it's a bargain considering the paved roads and pads, full hookups, and access to a lake (permit required) and trails. The office could be more organized; there were many sites reserved with cones that were never filled even though people were being told to park in the overflow area. Besides the blaring loudspeakers playing reveille at 0730 each weekday morning and the long drive to get to the gate, it's still worth the price. We'd stay here again.

This is an old KOA, most of which appears to be used by permanent residents. Sites for transients are just long enough for a 40' MH and tow, and are close together and facing in alternate directions. Dirt roads are tree lined, and some sites have trees that will impact slide-outs. When I mentioned to the owner/manager that a tree was very close to one of my slides, he was quick to visit the site and offered to cut the branch. The park is located in a residential area but is easy to access. The location is quiet and provides easy access to shopping and sightseeing around Wichita. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Arriving at the park on a short dirt and very dusty road, we were met by a sign which stated to find a site and someone would be through between 5:30 and 9:00 to collect the fee. It was difficult to determine how the sites were aligned from the entrance; this is nothing but a large dirt field with gravel spread on top - no pads, tables, or shade. The fee ($25, cash or check only) was high for the quality of the park. Besides the road noise, trains ran all night on tracks that are adjacent to the park, and because there's a crossing nearby the sound of horns made it difficult to sleep without earplugs. We'll pass this one by in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay in this meticulously maintained park in the oak forest above Lake of the Ozark. The owners have completed significant work in improving the facility; 50amp sites are huge gravel pull-throughs with a picnic table. Although the WiFi reception was spotty from our location, the CATV was exceptionally clear, important since the heavy tree cover prevents satellite reception. The park has nature trails through the woods, a pool, game lounge, and outdoor playground. Throughout the park seasonal campers have placed bird feeders and we watched hummingbirds and bluebirds from our site. Although there are some seasonals, their sites were very well maintained. All in all, this is a perfect destination for the area; quiet, peaceful, and extremely well maintained. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during the Good Sam Rally and were impressed at how organized and professional the staff was. On the day the rally ended, the park emptied and then was filled again as 70 RVs arrived from the Balloon Festival grounds. We watched as each RV was led to their space and had the hookups explained to the driver. Other aspects of the park have been described at length in other reviews; suffice to say that the park was up to its usual high standards and that we had an enjoyable stay.

Not many frills, but it is a decent value for the price. Sites were well spaced and level in the large gravel parking lot. Hookups were OK, except that my 50A plug was only receiving 30A. There are lots of quail and singing blackbirds in the evening. Besides Bosque Del Apache, it's a nice trip (50 Miles) to the Very Large Array, which is worth the trip. Socorro, 10 miles away, has a small Super Wal-Mart and a very good brewery restaurant (Socorro Springs). As stated before, the owner is friendly and aside from the occasional train, it's a quiet stay. We'd stay here again.

This is a pretty basic overnight spot with good potential. We were met by the friendly and helpful owner who escorted us to our site and explained the hookups. The sites are back-to-back, but with few sites occupied we were able to use the entire length which gave us an 80' plus pull-through. The sites are dirt with grass islands, and fairly level. There is no cable and there are trees so ask for a clear site if you intend to use your satellite dish. There is some road and train noise, but not enough to be a distraction. As previously stated, the park is convenient to town and is fairly easy to access with a big rig. Nice folks and reasonably priced; we'd stay here again.

This park has many attributes; good location, large, level sites with shelter and table, and access to a large casino and several fishing lakes. The free WiFi did not work well; however, Verizon service and Aircard were strong. The office staff was friendly and we appreciated the helpful security staff and the 24-hour gate at the entry. The drawback is the noise from trains. The park is adjacent to the stop for the Rail Runner express, which starts at 5:03 AM and runs every hour until after 8:00 PM. During the night, freight and Amtrak trains are frequent. All use their horns continually, and the noise is loud and obtrusive. Earplugs are mandatory for this to be a quality stay. We probably won't stay here again.

This park has quickly become the class park of Alamogordo; spacious, well-laid out sites are separated by a rail fence, the facilities are immaculate, and the owners go out of their way to ensure a great stay. No trees or tables yet, and the water is really hard; but these are offset by the easy access to local attractions and the family atmosphere. Besides White Sands NM, the Sacramento Mountains offer an observatory tour, large Indian Casino, shopping, and wildlife viewing. Three Rivers Petroglyph site, Valley of the Fires, and Lincoln Historic Site are all great spots to visit from the park. Free admission to musical events and the pot luck dinners where we made new friends were highlights of our visit. This is an exceptional park with likewise exceptional owners; we'll visit again and wish them the best of luck.

Price reflects a weekly rate and use of the Texas Park Pass for daily entry. This is one of Texas' best state parks - large sites with picnic pavilions and fire rings, full hookups with cable TV, and a great scenic drive. No Verizon cell phone or air card reception in the park; however, the Indian lodge (which has a fair restaurant) has free WiFi. This is a great destination park and also a good place from which to visit McDonald Observatory, Fort Davis National Historic Site, and the "Marfa Mystery Lights". Fort Davis has a fair variety of restaurants, one grocery store, and two gas stations; all are pricey so stock up before arrival. Our stay was detracted from by being told at 4:30 on our second day that we would have to move to another area before 9:00 AM the next day due to cable TV work; and that we had to report to the office before 5:00 to receive another site. The ranger giving the notice was not particularly helpful or professional. Other than that, this is a quality park and worth the trip. We'd stay here again.

Let's face it - if you want to visit Big Bend with a full hookup site with services Marathon is the only choice; so it's a good thing this park is very nice. We were given the last space available, which was apparently a former workamper site - no pad, picnic table, and only gravel/dirt which was not very level. The standard 50A sites were pull-through, also dirt/gravel without pads. The free cable TV and WiFi worked well. There is a beautifully landscaped courtyard and fireplace and the owners are exceptionally friendly. Marathon is an interesting little town; good restaurants (try the Famous Burro), and the Gage Hotel is worth a visit. We'd stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant waterfront park. The park has reopened after a lengthy closing and the owners and staff are going out of their way to make visitors comfortable. They hosted a free fish fry on Friday which was very enjoyable, and always checked to see that we were enjoying our stay. Sites are large and have a view of the bay with the harbor behind. Many sites allow motorhomes to pull in nose-first for an unobstructed view of the water. Some noise is generated by the shrimp fleet (Texas' largest), but it was quiet at night. They owners are still working to improve the park, and picnic tables and pads are future items. The free WiFi worked very well. Palacios is a small town with a few restaurants, but Bay City and Port Lavaca are each 30 miles away and have Wal-Mart Supercenters and other amenities. This is a good park to stage from for visits to Brazoria, San Bernard, and Aransas National Wildlife Refuges, and overall, the area is a great birding mecca. Although this park still needs some work, the owners and staff make the stay worthwhile. We'd definitely stay here again.

This in another quality Texas State Park with a lot to offer. Two areas comprise the park; the water sites, located on the bay, and Wooded, which are carved out of the heavy woods. We passed on the water sites; a bit cramped, not very level, smelled bad (they're right next to "stinky beach") but have nice views of the bay. The wooded sites were very private, with a small entrance that was a challenge getting a 40' MH into, but opened inside into a large area with fire pit, BBQ, and pad with picnic table. The facilities are extensive, with hiking and nature trails, boat launch and fish cleaning stations, and a large fishing pier. Guided bird tours and photo classes are offered, and the staff is very friendly. This is an excellent park for both the retired community and families. The only improvement would be addition of sewer hookups. We'd stay here again.

We spent a week at this interesting and unexpectedly friendly park. The RV park is located on a portion of a WWII Army post which was purchased by a private company and turned into a resort and housing area. The park manager was very friendly and stopped by frequently just to check that everything was OK. The sites are fairly wide and level, some asphalt, some grass, and hookups are convenient. The cable TV is limited, but adequate since there is no broadcast TV available. The free Wi-Fi was spotty in the RV area but worked well closer to the office. This is a park with many amenities, albeit not fancy. A small laundry is inexpensive, and there is a game room/library, golf course, spring-fed swimming pool, and museum. This is largely community of snowbirds who have been coming here for years, but they welcome visitors and encourage attendance at the almost daily activities. Deer and wild turkey roam the park, there are walking trails along a wooded creek, and birds are everywhere. Brackettville doesn't have much to offer, but all services are available 30 miles away in Del Rio. This is a great place to stop and rest; we'd stay here again.

This was our second stay after visiting briefly last year. The rate reflects the monthly rate of $375, which is an increase from last year and is not justified by the park services. A nice park, with large live oak and spacious sites, fairly quiet, and friendly park hosts. Each site has a concrete pad and picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. The river is stocked with 6" trout and fishing in the park is free, with loaner rods and reels at the office. The free WiFi was not usable during the entire month. Water pressure is very high, and the water is very hard. The town of Blanco has a few restaurants (try the bowling alley pie), and a supermarket is located a mile south of town. A very nice stay, but there are less expensive monthly rates with better services elsewhere. We'd stay short term here again.

We were pleasantly surprised by this park; low monthly rate ($295) included electric, the sites were very large, and the area is quiet during the winter months. Hookups are unique; each site is three lanes wide with hookups at each side. This allowed us to pull in nose-first with a great view overlooking the cypress-lined Guadalupe River. Sites have a large cement patio, picnic table, and barbecue on a stand. The area is generally quiet except for motorcycles on the adjacent River Road, and was only a bit crowded once the state began stocking trout every Friday in December. The staff was very friendly, there is a small store, and WiFi (weak & spotty) is free. The Verizon Air Card worked very well. Just a short (3 miles) from New Braunfels which has all amenities. No pets, glass, or Styrofoam allowed along the river, but during the winter small pets are allowed in the RV area. This is a huge "toobing" area during the summer and is crowded and noisy. We enjoyed our stay and will return next winter.

This is what a state park should be; tree covered, quiet, nice pads, and plenty of hiking trails. Sites are large and have a pad with picnic table, a fire pit, and separate barbecue. Electric and water only at the sites with a dump station, no cable or WiFi; just the noise from crows and other birds. You'll need a portable dish for satellite TV and 50' of coax to find a hole in the trees. About six miles off I-10 and 12 miles from the nearest town (Gonzales) with a small Wal-Mart and a few restaurants. There is fishing in a small lake and the San Marcos river. We'll stay here again.

Rate reflects a monthly rate plus electricity. This is a return visit to this park due to it's proximity to our annual medical visits and easy access to San Antonio and Austin locations. We like this park, the sites are large and level, power and water are good (although water is very hard), the free WiFi works well, and the owner is friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, the noise from the nearby Interstate, cement plant crane alarms, and trains day and night detract from an otherwise pleasant stay. A good weekend stay, but we probably won't stay here long-term again.

Although we seldom stay at KOAs as fulltimers, this park rates high on our list of places to stay. Right in Missoula and close to shopping, the park has easy access, big rig sites, and shade and green grass. Lots of activities for the family. Cable and WiFi were free and worked well. A huge staff of yellow-shirted workampers were everywhere, and the landscaping and condition of the park showed. Would be a 10 if it had paved pads; we were there during the rain and it was a bit muddy. We'd stay here again.

A quality, professionally run RV park. Sites were well laid out, level, and nicely landscaped. Convenient to park and just down the street from the Grizzly and Wolf center (well worth seeing). A good value; we'd stay here again.

This is our favorite park when visiting the Albuquerque area; professionally run, nicely landscaped, and fairly priced. We took advantage of the stay four nights/get one free which makes the stay very reasonable. Free Wi-Fi worked well, good cable, and the free "continental" breakfast are great touches. Road noise is noticeable at night but not too bad if running the air or fan and being close to I-40 allows easy access to town. A great park, we'll stay here again.

What a pleasant surprise - apparently shedding the manacles of KOA has given the owners an opportunity to improve the park. Sites were long, wide and level (gravel), trees provided shade, and hookups were convenient. The free Wi-Fi worked well until the morning when it disappeared. A real treat was the on-site cafe which served a home-made meal each night - the country ribs were great! A very nice park; we'd stay here again.

As previously stated, a good value at the Passport America rate. We were led to a fairly large, reasonable level gravel site with grass and a picnic table. Power and water were good; however, the free WiFi was weak and sporadic once the park filled and people started logging on. Unfortunately, the manager stated that they were dropping the PA discount; not sure we'd stay here for the full price.

A pleasant surprise; all by itself along I-80 in a town where the only restaurant is a Taco Time. Great owners, friendly - went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Open, level grass sites, not much shade but fine with us. Good utilities although water pressure was sometimes very low. Free WiFi was strong and steady. Nothing fancy, just a comfortable place with helpful owners. We'd stay here again.

A nice, above average park with shade and fairly level sites. The sites are slightly terraced, gravel, roomy. Water pressure is very high, power good, and the free Wi-Fi worked very well. Some road noise of trucks on the upgrade into town, and large, bright lights can be a problem at night if you're under one. There are a large number of parks in the area, this is one of the better ones. We'd stay here again.

After a steep climb to the check-in, we were met by a friendly staff and led to our site. The sites are close together but adequate; with slides out there was no room for awning, but we're not here to stay in the campground. Good power, OK cable, and good free Wi-Fi. Gardiner's a cute little town, but stay away from the Chinese restaurant; the food was horrible and I've been in cleaner Forest Service outhouses. We'd stay here again.

Overall a nice park for the price. Entry/exit is a little tight (they should move the dumpsters), but the office staff was friendly, the utilities worked fine, and the free WiFi and cable worked well. Sites are long, gravel, reasonably level, and there are some trees for shade. We'd stay here again.

Planned to stay here based on previous reviews. Called enroute, no answer so left message. Two hours later had not received a reply so called again. Spoke to someone and told them we'd need a pull-thru space for a 40' MH; was told no problem no reservation needed. When we arrived, we were met by Pop (we assume) and saw that there were only a few sites for big rigs, and all were full. Also only a few pull-thrus, also full. He advised us to go elsewhere (Lee Acres). Had we been advised, we would have gone elsewhere without wasting our time stopping here. If you have a 40' MH or larger, check in advance. We'll pass on this park in the future.

We stopped here after having changed our plans for a another campground. Pretty bare bones park - all gravel and dust with a few small trees. Check-in staff was friendly and helpful. No restroom, shower, or laundry facilities; there was a porta-john down the lane. No cable, WiFi; cash only. Not a place we'd stay again.

As previously stated, a decent little park with good 50A power, level gravel sites, and a friendly and helpful manager. Easy access off Main street. Sites were wide enough (barely) for 4-slides. Quiet and dark at night. The free Wi-Fi was strong and fast. A good base for exploring the southern Utah parks. We'd stay here again.

I'm afraid I'm not as enamored with this park as others; perhaps because the park is not particularly big-rig friendly. After waiting in line for 30 minutes while two inconsiderate motorhomers disconnected their tows (yes, while in line and after checking in), we pulled into our site, which was downhill and tight because of trees and untrimmed branches. It was necessary to disconnect the tow, then back up to the rear of the site to get fairly level and avoid trees for the slide outs. Hookups were OK, but no satellite due to trees. It's the only hookup location in the area, but even then $52 a night is too steep for what your get. We'll try somewhere else if we return to the area.

Very friendly hosts; great check-in and escort to site. Sites were gravel, but level; hookups convenient and worked well. Free WiFi worked well. Road noise a bit of a problem but probably not as bad during summer when trees would block some sound. A wreck of an old RV (permanent camper) next to us, otherwise a well kept park. Woke up to 4" of unexpected snow and owner was helpful in getting travel information. We'd stay overnight here again.

Another overpriced KOA. Probably OK for a summer destination with children (playground and pool), but nothing special otherwise. Gravel, reasonably level sites, strong free WiFi, but poor water pressure. Close to the interstate but quiet; a good distance from town. Nice lady at the office. Only RV park close to the Interstate in the area or else we would have stayed elsewhere.

A magical place; descending the 10% grade into the canyon is a bit daunting, but worth the trip. The campgrounds are all well kept with large spaces and beautiful views of the rock formations and incredible colors. Sewer hookups would be nice, but there are multiple dump sites throughout the park. We stayed in Mesquite campground, 8 miles from the entrance; quiet, dark, and isolated. Wild turkey roam the campgrounds like domestic chickens - bring birdseed. Deer and desert sheep are also easily seen. A great visitor center and not-too-bad snack grill. Make sure you stop and see the two giant longhorns near the entrance. A great stay - another superior Texas state park. We'll be back.

A very nice campground; on arrival we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner & helped with refilling our propane tank. Sites are level gravel with large trees and convenient hookups. Very friendly and helpful owner; escorted us to our site, and suggested local restaurants. Limited sites were available due to the season, ours was gravel and fairly level. Free WiFi was very strong. A short drive off of the interstate and very quiet. Lots of permanent residents and young children, but the cold weather kept them mostly indoors. A bit expensive but standard for a KOA; probably worth it during the summer (has a pool and playground). We'd stay here again for an overnight stop.

The rate reflects the Escapee discount. The park is right off of the interstate, but road noise was tolerable. The lady running the office was very friendly and escorted us to our site and explained the hookups. The sites are grass/gravel and very close together - our step hit the power pedestal of the spot next door. The WiFi and cable are free and work well. Overall, a good overnight, but very cramped.

Rate reflects Escapees rate. On check in, was met by very friendly lady and told to pick any site. The park is a grass field, with ruts and poorly leveled sites. Trying to find a site, it became apparent that the hookups would not work for us; the electric and sewer are together at one end, and the water on the far end, 50' away from the rear of the site. Hooking up would have required more than 20' of sewer hose. Also, the power boxes are only a few inches off of the ground, making it impossible to plug in with the Surge Guard. I explained to the office person that we were sorry but could not stay. To their credit, they called shortly thereafter to say that my credit charge had been canceled. Nice people and a good location, but old and worn; needs work. We moved on to another park.

This is beautiful state park on the river on the south end of Blanco. The full hookup sites are arranged in a large loop with lots of huge live oak trees but with a center clearing for satellite dishes. Power, water, and sewer are available in the loop and in some of other sites. Beautifully landscaped with fire rings, volleyball court, and no-license required fishing. Quiet, with lots of birds and very little traffic noise. The park staff was very friendly. Nearby is the LBJ home and ranch, and shopping and restaurants are all within an easy drive. Get the Texas Parks Pass ($60/year) to avoid the daily entrance fee of $3 per person. A great place; we'll stay here again.

This is a quiet park located on the Guadalupe River just south of Seguin. Many permanent residents, but lots of room for visitors. Sites are reasonably level gravel with a concrete patio pad. Cable TV has all the usual channels and is free. WiFi is also free, but sporadic depending on where you are in the park. Rate reflects a very reasonable monthly rate plus electric. Friendly office and residents, but no community activities. Functional laundry room and clean restrooms. Shopping and restaurants, including a Super Wal-Mart, is only one mile up the road. The river is peaceful and has lots of ducks to feed; we'll stay here again.

We spent over a month here due to the park's convenient location; 45 miles to San Antonio, 35 to Austin. Adjacent to I-35, so there is road noise but not too bad. The cement plant trucks mentioned in other posts didn't bother us. Gravel and cement sites, level with cement pad & picnic tables. Clean laundromat and restrooms, good power and water; make sure you have a pressure regulator. Free Cable TV and WiFi; WiFi is very good throughout the park. Camping World and Wal-Mart close by. Very friendly owner. Not a destination campground for children, no pool or playground, but there is miniature golf. Very reasonable monthly rate. The location is the selling point; we'd stay here again.

We've always enjoyed staying here; however, at $40 a night at the discount rate I'm not sure it's worth it. A great place, with free WiFi and continental breakfast, but also with a great deal of I-10 road noise and sites without picnic tables or shade. By the handout included with your receipt, it looks like they're trying to lease sites and become more of a snowbird destination. Next time we're in the area we'll probably go elsewhere for an overnight stay.

This is an unusual review in that we never stayed at the park. Planning on staying in the area, we reviewed the park on this web site and called about the monthly rate. We were e-mailed an "application" form to fill out before we could be put on a "waiting list". OK so far....then I started reviewing the application. Besides names, DOBs, and driver's license numbers, the application required my social security number. That was warning enough, but later on the form it asked if our RV had a lien and the name and address of the lien holder.....all we wanted to do was stay for a month, not buy the place. In over 35 years of Rving and over two years of full timing we've never experienced this type requirement. Since we, like most everyone, pay for the entire stay with a credit card at check in, it makes us believe that either; 1) someone at the park is trying to get our personal data for fraudulent use, 2) the owners are using this as a mechanism to discriminate age/race/financial status, or 3) they're incredibly anal about controlling who visits and how they conduct themselves. In any case, this may be a fine place if you're staying less than a month, apparently you're OK then, but we'll pass. We didn't stay here.

Nice park just north of Uvalde; large, level gravel sites with lots of large trees. Very good free cable TV, but tell them if you're going to use your satellite; not all sites have a southern view. Nice office and clubhouse and friendly staff; fairly quiet, with little road noise and just enough lighting for safety but not enough to glare inside the coach. Just down the road from a Wal-Mart Super center and a cafe with free WiFi. The rate reflects the Escapee discount. We'd stay here again.

Located on the far southeastern edge of Tucson but with easy access to major roads, this is an OK park for a stopover or short stay. Lots of potential; large, gravel sites, good hookups, some shade, but the large number of long term/permanent residents with work trucks and outside storage detracts from the appearance. Free cable TV was poor. A personal gripe is that we try to stay at parks advertising wireless since we have a small business; this is another park where WiFi is advertised but doesn't work well if at all, and the management is indifferent (Oh, it never works when it is windy..gosh, I guess it's windy here a lot). I'd rather pay for a vendor-provided service that works than a free system that doesn't. A large number of dogs in the park, some of which are tied and left during the day while their owners are off to work create noise....don't think we'll stay here again.

This is a tired little campground located in trees right between I-5 and railroad tracks. Nice lady at the office, level sites and good hookups; however, the noise, sandy soil that stuck to your shoes, and old campers made this a place we would not return. Bad enough that it's located within 100 yards of I-5, that part of the highway is on a hill so you're treated to exhaust brakes, too. But then the trains drowned out the trucks every once in a while. We did get to pick some of the apples growing wild in the park (with permission), but it was still way to expensive for what they offer.

It's hard to imagine a better state park - paved interior roads and sites, wide spaces separated by trees and hedges, super clean facilities, security, and even cable TV and WiFi. This is the way a park should be run. Beautiful ocean views, trails through the woods, and a wonderful playground for the kids. Daily programs for the kids and evening programs for the adults. The staff is friendly and the place bustles with employees and volunteers as they clean sites, trim bushes, etc. Get here early, it fills up fast almost every day. It is only one mile from town and shopping. We'd love to stay here again.

A good place for an overnight stay; paved, level sites are large and the pull thrus will accommodate any size rig with the tow vehicle attached. Large trees throughout the park; free cable and WiFi were very good. The indoor pool and spa are impressive; good thing they're indoors since the wind howls here. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Local roads to the park were rough and there isn't much to see in the area. As a bonus, a local lady had placed fresh produce in the game room on a "donation" basis. We'd stay here again.

Great location, easy access, paved everywhere except for landscaping strips between sites; this park provides a quality stay. Free cable TV, WiFi, and shuttle service. This is a small park adjacent to Hwy 101 and just north of Old Town Brandon. Paved interior roads with level gravel sites. Pull-thrus are very close together, enough room for slide-outs but not for an awning. Good power and water hook-ups with free cable (97 channels) and very strong free WiFi. The office staff was very friendly and helped park our rig. Anything over 40' with a tow might have a bit of trouble in this small park, but it's OK for an overnight stay. Not a park for families with children. We'd stay here again; the rate reflects a 15% Escapees discount.

This is a very nice, newer park on the banks of the Clearwater river. The owner and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The entry road crosses railroad tracks and is paved once you enter the park. Most sites are back-in, and are large, level gravel backing up to the river bank. The pull thrus are parallel to the road and I'd take a back in instead. Cable is available for $1 a day but there is a clear view of both DirecTV and Dish satellites. The free WiFi worked well. The only drawback, and a minor one, is the railroad siding behind the park. Although not very scenic, the siding is seldom used and was only a visual drawback. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Located behind the Ute Mountain Casino, the RV park has easy access, level gravel sites, and full hookups. The cable TV was exceptional; over 100 channels with almost all of the premium channels included. The free WiFi was down for one day but worked well the next. Some shade provided by small trees and a grassy island between sites was nice; the sites are well spaced and we had plenty of room for slides and awning. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Although 11 miles from Cortez, this parks provides solid hookups and a secure environment. The casino restaurant was reasonable and had very good food. We'd stay here again.

This is a very nicely maintained mom-and-pop type park with level gravel sites, trees, and grass. The view of the mountains is very nice and it's in a quiet location and very dark at night. The free WiFi was very strong throughout our stay. The owners are friendly and very helpful. They also run a small cafe with a free breakfast for RVrs - but try the sweet potato pancakes; they're only $2.95 and well worth it. Sitting in the cafe is like being with old friends, everyone is very friendly - ask about all of the dollar bills glued to the ceiling. This is the way all campgrounds should be run. In two years of full timing and 67 different campgrounds, this is absolutely the best stay we've every had. Forget the big-company parking lots, this park has only 8 sites right on the bank of the Salmon River, and if you have enough electric cord and hose, you can pull straight in like we did. The view from the windshield is like a postcard; all river, trees, and mountains, without a structure or person in sight. The sound of the river along with the sight of Great Blue Heron, Osprey, and even an American Avocet make sitting outside an experience not to be missed. No restrooms, pool, mini-golf, or other facilities, just beautiful grassy sites and wonderfully friendly owners. Since there's no cell phone coverage, they provide free long distance phone calls from the lodge office. We're the only RV here; there's not much traffic on US 93 this time of year, but we understand that in the spring and fall fisherman and hunters keep the lodge and park filled. We'd travel out of our way to stay here again.

We spent a week here and were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the "resort". The web site greatly misrepresents the park; while it shows riverfront sites with patios, there are only four in the park; and the patios are very worn. All of the other sites are close to each other with either dead grass or weeds that were not mowed during our visit. We paid for a "waterfront premium site" which apparently means that you're within 100 yards of walking to the river. The park is very popular and was crowded during our visit; but was quiet at night, even during the Fourth of July. A good location if you're visiting the area and riding the Cumbres/Toltec Railroad; but don't expect solitude, this is a very popular vacation spot and if you visit during the summer you'll need reservations. We would try another of the local parks if we visit this area again.

Nicely shaded, fair-sized sites, and lots of large trees. Off the interstate and except for the airport noise, very quiet. Side-by-side hookups were OK, and the free WiFi was very strong. A busy place as it is a popular stopping place judging by all the rigs that came in and left the next day. Very well stocked store and professional staff. We enjoyed walking the trail along the river in back of the park. Some of the permanent residents need to be moved out or cleaned up; but these were generally located in the area not used for overnighters. We'd stay here again.

This is a Passport America park and is a good value for the price. Off the highway & quiet, you have to drive on dirt roads through a stable area to get to the RV area. All dirt road/sites, fairly level with a grass island. Good 50A power was a plus since it was 102 degrees. Sites are a tad short for a 40' and tow but the egress is all in the same direction so it doesn't pose much of a problem. Some permanent campers but is was quiet and the lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. A good, inexpensive place to spend the night or base your visit to the Moab area. Nothing to do for kids - too hot outside, anyway. We'd stop here again.

We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in by a very professional staff was quick and we were escorted to our paved, level site which had a patio and picnic table. We had an end site, with large shade trees and landscaped grass, and the hookups were conveniently located. Cable TV was being installed while we were there, and the free WiFi generally worked well. On two occasions when it failed, a call to the office resulted in it being restored within 30 minutes. The free continental breakfast is a nice touch, just don't expect more than cereal, bagels, and frozen waffles. The gift shop is unusually well stocked; whoever does the buying has great taste. Overall, this is a very well run operation that provides a great stay for a moderate price. We'll stay here again.

We spent a month here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As full timers, we spend a lot of time at RV parks, and this one is special. Large, long gravel pads and patio areas are surrounded by rustic fencing and provide privacy. 50A power is very strong (important since it gets hot here during the day) and the water quality is very good. Free Wi-Fi worked well and the office was quick to reset it the one time it failed. The park is located only about three miles from a quaint downtown and just a mile from a Wal-Mart Supercenter. The laudromat is spotless as is the office. Really nice folks in the office; very helpful and friendly. No pool or playground, but that's the way we like it; in our entire month there was no noise, rowdiness, or children cutting through our site. A great place to stay and explore the cliff dwellings, ghost towns, and Gila Wilderness. We'll be back.

This park is located 14 miles west of Magdalena, off Hwy 60 and near the Very Large Array. It's an old "cowboy meeting place", and is very rustic. Roads and sites are dirt with a lot of very fine dust. Sites were not level, but 30A power was good. No TV if you don't have a satellite. A remote and seldom visited place; we saw no one arrive or depart during our three days and there were only a few permanent RVers. Cattle roam everywhere, the flies are bad, but you probably won't want to walk through the dust anyway. The office is never staffed, you have to look for the lady who checks you in. Beware - on Sunday the owner doesn't want to be bothered so he locks the gate at noon; you can't get in or out until Monday morning. Not exactly a destination RV park, but an OK location to spend a night or two if you're interested in the VLA.

A positive exception to the cookie-cutter campground. Huge sites on the high desert with great views of the Chiricahuas. Very friendly staff, nice office and very clean laundry. Free and very strong WiFi. Two ponds with ducks and fish provide relief to the desert environment, but be aware this is windy country. A great place to base for visits to Cave Creek Canyon and some of the country's best birding. Make sure you're stocked up on groceries, because it's a looooong way to any town of size. We'll stay here again.

A nice park located about 7 miles from the interstate; a co-op where you rent a vacant owner's site. All back-in sites, poor water quality (a Yuma given), and no use of washer/dryer, but still a nice place and very quiet. Electricity is metered and charged to you on departure. Since we were leaving on the morning of Easter Sunday and the office would be closed, I volunteered to read the meter myself and leave a check at the drop box, but they refused, and instead read my meter at 4:00 PM the day before departure. When I went to the office to pay, I was told by a rather rude woman that my charge would be for the metered amount, and that amount would be divided by the three days we stayed, and then a full day's rate added.....I pointed out that it was already 4:30 in the afternoon and that I would be leaving at 7:00 AM the next morning, but she insisted that we were moving into the "hottest part of the day" (this is Arizona, where there is no daylight time and it gets dark at 6 PM)and the charge was valid. Rather than argue, I paid the charge which brought the cost per night to $22, no bargain for an Escapees member. Frankly, the Escapees experience has always been very positive to us until this park. We won't stay here again.

This park is certainly the class of Alpine. Very well kept, friendly staff, and good power and water. Good level gravel sites, a few trees for shade. Cable is free but only gets 12 channels. Free WiFi, but it's very spotty. We were here during cold weather, but it looks like the new pool area is very nice. Convenient to lots of neat areas; Big Bend, Ft Davis, and the Marfa Mystery Lights. We were visited by a large buck and his harem each morning. Great views of the mountains. We spent a week and will stay here again.

After reading previous reviews, I asked for a back in since we would be staying for a week but was assured by the office clerk that we'd be "happier" with a pull through. Unfortunately, I accepted her judgement. Driving to the back of the park, it became apparent that the pull throughs were nothing more than closely-spaced parking lot spaces. Dirt, narrow, without shade, table, pad, or any amenity. An I mean narrow - with the slide out my neighbor's slide made it impossible to put out the window awnings. What was particularly annoying was the practice of putting everyone together even though there were plenty of open spaces. Last night there were a dozen RVs crammed in next to one another while there were another 20 sites open with not one RV. We found the office clerk to be patronizing and not very helpful. About the only positive feature was strong and free WiFi and decent cable TV. We weren't impressed and will not stay here again.

A pretty much ho-hum park, gravel and grass sites, some level, most not. Small trees dot the landscape, not much else to comment on. Staff was also pretty ho-hum. WiFi available for a fee. Hard to figure out which is the road to the park and which is the truck stop entry. Too pricy for overnight stops, won't stay here again.

We were disappointed by the high price and very average park amenities. The web page advertises free WiFi, but it is very weak and the desk clerk, when I could get her to quit talking to her friend and hang up the phone, said that it only worked near the office. The sites were level gravel & hookups were centrally located, but they are narrow. It was a bit disconcerting to have a FEMA trailer village right next to us, apparently they're renting them out. When we left two chairs on our site to indicate it was being used while we drove the motorhome for an oil change, we returned to find them gone, "borrowed" by one of the trailer families. We challenged them and they apologized and brought them back, but for the high price of the site I expected better security. We won't stay here again.

Very well run and organized RV park. Concrete pads with river views, good hookups, and a friendly staff make this a premier location. Convenient to Natchez with a shuttle to the river casino. Staff was very helpful and a computer with internet service is available in the office. Poor TV and no WiFi keep this park from getting a higher rating. A very pleasant place to stay, we'd stay here again.

This is a very nice, very well maintained RV park. Convenient to I-10, fairly quiet, and well laid out with level concrete pads and good hookups. Strong free WiFi and a free continental breakfast added to the positive experience. Only drawbacks were the bright lights lighting the park at night and the large number of children due to an adjacent baseball academy. We'd stay here again.

A pricy park that probably is worth it for an extended stay at a weekly rate but is overpriced for one or two nights. Interior roads are paved but sites are grass and were muddy after recent rains. The first site we were given was too uneven to level the motorhome and we had to request another. Free WiFi was nice and a discount for cash was offered. I'd probably look for another place for an overnight stay.

If you've ever wondered what a FEMA disaster relief trailer camp looked like, visit this park (although I think FEMA would be more organized). A huge area of ramshackle trailers, with add-on sheds, beer sports team signs, plastic palm trees.....you get the picture. We were greeted by a rude individual in a cigarette smoke office and it went downhill from there. There are no sewer hookups, but the dump station is easily located by even a poor sense of smell. Make sure you wear gloves and a hazmat suit if you have one. Even with two whole-house filters, the water looked like iced tea and was undrinkable. The only positives were that the 30A power didn't fail and that we were able to leave early, even without a refund. This place makes a Flying J parking lot look sophisticated.

This is a delightful little park with lots of shade in a quiet area. The sites for motorhomes are up on a terrace and although a slow climb through the trees to get there, are large enough for big rigs. Mostly populated by summer lease campers, the owner is a delightful lady who runs the place by herself and is a treat to talk to. Nearby shopping includes a WalMart SuperCenter and there are restaurants nearby. A neat, secluded place to stay; we'd stay again.

As previously noted, the road to the park is horrible; rough washboard and dusty. The sites are tiered too sharply and our slideout with the attached storage bays almost touched the ground. We could not get level without the curb side wheels being lifted off of the ground, and just walking up and down the hill trying to accomplish hookups and chores will wear you out. There is no WiFi. It is remote and quiet and the view at sunset was very pretty. I'd look hard for another park in the area if I was staying more than a day.

Arrived in a rainstorm and half of the sites were flooded; none with 50A were available, so had to settle for 30A (no price break, of course). Can't blame them for the rain but they could work on their drainage, the whole site was flooded with two or more inches of water. WiFi was free but very weak. Cable was free and had multiple channels. Shady sites and friendly staff, but over priced for a one night stay. Very noisy as the interstate is right next to the park.

An older, somewhat worn out looking park. Gravel sites were level and access was OK. Free WiFi worked very well; however, cable is available only in select sites and trees block most roof-mounted satellite dishes. A path through the weeds and over the railroad tracks led to the famous Wall Drug Store, so disconnecting the tow vehicle isn't necessary to shop and find something to eat. Wall Drug was interesting but I wouldn't stop again.

We returned here after being gone a year and were impressed by the improvement. New owners again, but this time they cleaned out all of the old run down trailers and moved out all of the permanent people. New office, new attitude. Very nice place; still could use more gravel as sites were muddy, but the owners are working hard to improve the place. We'd stay here again.
